i recon ppl would have bought his book even without all the negative things he said....
he is such a respected player that i would have bought his book....
but now that he tried to sell it in this way i don't think i wan't to read his book....
what ever gilly's plan was it backfired......
Let me guess: Top of your pile is going to be Adam Gilchrists book. Probably followed by the latest offering from Ricky Ponting. And I am sure you will dig up another Aussie cricketer for your vitriolic hatred.
And just for the record, books written by the person are called "auto-biographies", whilst those written about the person are called "biographies".
NOw this would be a good question, if the intention behind it wasn't simply to provoke Australians and humour your own racist hatred of them.
I don't know what the worst auto-biographies/biographies are, as I avoid those sort of books, but various English players have released books over the past couple of years: Kevin Pietersen, Alistair Cook, and Andrew Strauss, to name but 3, when they haven't even reached the peak of their careers, and in Cook's case, is just starting out. What is the point in that?
btw, i have only heard of gillys controversial book and it was in news for bad reasons so ill pick that.
why would anyone buy it?? its craig frricken macmillian.
Otherwise these poor tools will never learn.
I'm glad when Aussies (eg. Gilchrist) speak it creates controversy, otherwise life would be dull.
As for the 3 worst..... hmmmm, well I doubt any indian players have written a book. Do they know how to write?
This will give you an idea about the past controversial autobiographies

By rights this should have been the greatest book ever as if anyone had a story to tell it's Beefy Botham. Botham ruins it by trying to pass on the blame for anything he has ever done wrong and the whole self justification thing gets boring long before the end of the book.
Graham Thorpe - The Autobiography
I was really looking forward to this one. With Thorpe's reputation as an anti-establishment figure the book looked promising. Indeed, after the first few chapters where he is amazingly frank about the break-up of his marriage you'll be thinking "wow brave stuff there, can't wait to read him being equally brave about cricket". Sadly, he doesn't actually shut up about his bloody divorce for the rest of the book.
Adam Gichrist's book
So embarassing, I had to buy a porn magazine to hide it in. It's so bad, it's not worth mentioning. Gilchrist, I want the hours of my life I wasted reading this book back.
About the magazine, it was called Hustler.
2. Gilchrist
3. Warne
