What is the highest possible strike-rate for a batsman?

  • u really cant say. becase the maximum that can be scored of a ball is not defined. it not 600 thats for sure. because there has been instance when seven runs have beeen scored of a ball, (the batsman run 3 runs, then the fielder overthrows and ball goes for 4 so total 7 runs and all runs goes to the batsman).
    but to be sanly speaking, the maximum runs scored by running between wckets of single ball is 4 plus and overthrow of 4 will give it 8 runs per ball( this has never happen). so 800 strike rate is very much possible if u play on ahuge field, with fast running batsman, slow fielders who cant throw proper.
    but im not sure

    If they scored a 6 each ball, it would be 600.

    But, if they managed to score more than 6 in one ball (and got run out without facing) then it could be 600+


  • We cant answer this as INFINITE bcz a batsman cant get more than 6 runs per ball!


  • I guess the strike rates has no limits, but most probably it may be 600 or 600+, if all the balls are hit for 6s.

    andrew symonds scored 8 off a ball today in the AUS vs NZ test. ran 4 then got 4 overthrows.

    maximum strike rate is infiniate. but usually u would say 600 for 6 per ball. but most quick innings and 20/20 innings u dont see many players with strike rates far over 300. usually 100-300 for oneday/2020 cricket.


  • Technically there is no limit. This is because it is possible to score infinite amount of runs in a delivery. Say, the fielding team intentionally keeps overthrowing the ball to the boundary & in that case the batsman would get all the runs.

    Note to the others above: A batsman doesnt get the runs for a bye, no-ball, wide or penalty 5 runs.

  • Well no balls count as deliverys faced. And wides cant be scored of with the bat, otherwise there arent counted.
    So 600 is absolute maximum.
