ok so i know they are legal and everything and there is one i am looking at buying but it is only the body w/o the engine. and my question is if i were to buy an engine off of password JDM would it fit or would i need a specific motor or a converter for the engine to fit?The engine should fit right in and bolt right up. The engine doesnt change its location just because its a RHD. The thing that does change is the firewall, so if you not doing a RHD conversion and just want the motor you good to go. I don't know for sure, but, I don't see a problem with the engine fitting. I can't see why it wouldn't. If anything the side motor mounts may be different to allow clearance for the steering column shaft but I don't even see that.I have seen this done with a Nissan Sentra. The car was a right hand drive Japanese model with a 1.6 liter carburetor engine that had a left hand drive (U.S. model) 2.0 fuel injected installed. It took some modification to the wire harness but It did eventually fit and work as it should. #If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
