Need help writting a poem about shoes?

Nancy Sinatra made famous by singing, not talking.
"Until you walk in another man's shoes..."
Is a well-known saying of many truths.
"If the shoe fits, wear it" yet another familiar tenet
Which means if something applies to you, learn to accept it.
Now that you've heard a few shoe-related quotes
Whether it be flats, pumps, sandals, or rain Totes
In order to wear any style
You need to have "sole" all the while !!
With the first what I'm thinking is you could use your shoes to sketch your character, changing and growing with each new pair. You could write about how your childhood faded with those old muddy pair of sneakers and how you stepped into womanhood with your frist real nice pair of heels. And so on like that. The possibilities are endless and it should be fairly easy to collect meaningful experiences to turn into symbols.
The second option wouldn't be much harder, I'm thinking something like "An Ode to Shoes" or you could be specific, "An Ode to Jordans". But it doesn't have to be an ode or sonnet or the like, it could be anything (though I'd advice staying away from limericks for any serious kind of assignment, they might seem a bit too, maybe flippant?). You could write about the foibles and troubles your shoes got you through (running from police or angry parents or any authority figure maybe), your could write about how you unwillingly forced them on into whatever danger lie in your path and how they protected you nonethless.
On top of that you could try writing a sort of thank you letter to the shoes, maybe characterising them, giving them a sunny disposition or a dark glower.
I hope that's of at least some help to you.
Good Luck!
P.S. I'd love to hear it when you're done!
