pls give ur comments on this issue....
do you think that t20 is the right option???
i mean, it is entertaining, but it isn't real cricket, now is it..????
    bo rude remarks pls..
    cheers :)

  • yes CRICKET must get spot in Olympic games ....

.. There r many countries who love 2 watch cricket .n. play cricket ...

Cricket fans should also ROCK ..........

  • that's gr8 news

    T20 is ideal for Olympics

This is our best chance ,coz England is a cricket playing country
    and the birthplace of cricket.

Instances of cricket playing countries hosting Olympics in the near future will be very less coz they are very few
So this is our best chance
otherwise we will have to again wait for a long time.
4,8,12 or 16 years or so.

  • The number of playing countries doesn't make it favorable for the Olympics....I feel that cricket does not require Olympics...It is a question of getting votes also...I doubt if it would get approval from non-cricketing countries ....Iam not for baseball being in the olympics also..it so happened that U.S.A influenced it to be in the Olympics...winning a medal is not a joke
Edit: I agree with Bill.P also

  • I like the idea of a T20 rather than an ODI series especially because if this does air during London it would probably become more popular internationally.
People see much more excitement in the 20/20 game especially in countries like U.S.A., and maybe the ICC can expand its market and teams from the USA might be able to be legitimate competition for other countries.
I think London should go with this idea because
    1. it is entertaining
    2. ICC mite b able to expand.

Of course it is true that it may not be what many call "real cricket" but it is the only option for cricket in the olympics
There are atleast 8 Teams that can compete:
India, Pakistan, Aussies, England, New Zeland, West Indies, Bangladesh, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, as well as other less recognized countries in cricket such as ireland, canada, kenya, bermuda.

  • I agree with you, I don't feel T20 is real cricket and it should not be at the games. They tried cricket at the Kuala Lumpar Commonwealth games but it never really caught on there.

  • yes , definitely. Cricket fans are waiting for that decision.because t-20
is the shortest form of cricket.

  • if u want cricket in olympics T20 is only way

  • It would be fitting i guess. After all cricket is from England and so is T20, so if T20 was to be included the Olympics, London would a fitting place to start.

If T20 was in the Olympics the whole world would associate cricket with T20. But for me cricket is all about tests, thats where its most interesting. ODIs are ok but T20 is really just a bit of fun (and a lot of money of late). So yeah i agree with you, T20 gives the world an artificial insight into cricket, its not real cricket

  • definitely timely idea,..i mean,.. it should be seriously there in Olympics,.. i think its unfair that it isn't recognized by
    Olympic committee
I mean cricket is a very old and established sport
it is very very popular in most of the world except obviously America and i really don't see why other sports should be there and not cricket
I mean baseball is there and i don't see a single reason baseball is there over cricket

    1) cricket is a big sports in many countries( England ,SA,SL,NZ aus India paki etc...)
baseball is only big in the US Canad and Japan

2)cricket has been around longer than baseball
and nobody gives me that cricket is a slow sport..crap..because (although i dont like baseball) it is pretty darn slow too

  • real good
