"If atheists ran the world, the world would be a much better place." How so?

now it seems fine and well that we have unity. but, and this is the problem, in that unity we also encourage a level of separation or exclusion. in our pride, we inadvertently become braggarts to some degree. religion is just another way for people to further include themselves into something while potentially excluding themselves from other things.
for example, i had a big argument with my friend because he's a christian person and i consider myself agnostic. i believe in the concept of god but not in the christian, or any particular faith's, version of what defines god. my own friend, of more than 10 years, literally condemned me to hell because i would not follow his views or ideas of church. being that i had a strong catholic upbringing, i was absolutely able to take him to task on his feelings towards my views. i pointed out his own lack of tolerance and respect for others' beliefs. i pointed out his lack of knowledge of the bible and the misinformation that is taught throughout churches in the nation. the conversation turned into a debate into an argument because he couldn't handle the sheer volume of information i was giving him. he arbitrarily condemned billions of people across the world INCLUDING other christians because they were NOT "praising God" in the way he believed his christian god should be praised.
how can one who claims brotherly love also condemn so many at the same time? this is the problem of inclusion and exclusion when we practice this type of group-based unity.
so no, i don't think this world would be a better place if atheists ran it because even atheists still want to belong to something that will inadvertently exclude others and cause the same rifts that religions have.
the human race has not evolved, mentally nor emotionally, to a place where we can simply respect humanity as it is, outside of the things that separate us.
for EXAMPLE (i hope people understand this is an example), because i am black and i want to hang out with other blacks, i should exclude non-blacks from my circle and even be hostile to non-blacks if they try to include themselves in my community. THAT'S COMPLETELY LUDICROUS. but this is the attitude that pervades our society as a whole - chinese railroad workers, japanese internment camps, slavery, jim crow laws, caste systems, jewish holocaust and so on.
The people in it were made by God.
How can people who reject the boss be trusted to run the boss's company?
I think Atheists would make a complete mess of things because they would have no guidance or council with the Guy who wrote the instruction book!!
Wars are not caused by people of faith but by faithless people in the name of faith. If you truly love God you can only love other people because we are all part of God. We are his own flesh and blood. If you love your neighbour then you are loving God. If you love God you will love his children. If you hate your neighbour then you are hating God.
The word God is an adaption of the word good - it means the exact same thing!
( oops )
So that being said, there is no way if the atheists ran this world it would be a better place without God in it. But then if they allowed God in, the atheists would be admitting there is a God and that they won't do.
So for me, it would be so impossible to see any atheists make this world a better place without God.
And probably less war, and hostility between nations.
