I'm sick...questionnn???

  • I went to the doctor on friday and they said i had tonsilitis. But, I havent gotten any better and my strep test came back negative. My throat is really sore, tonsils swollen, white puss pockets on my throat, fever no more than 99.8, bad head ache, very nauseated, and I cant taste food when I eat it. What do you think is wrong with me?

    Please help...and thank you! :]

  • maybe you could go back to the doctor
    your getting worse and maybe its probably something to do with the tonsillitis the doc said you have.


  • Your antibiotics have not had enough time to clear it up yet. Keep taking meds.


  • If the antibiotics are not helping it could be 2 things.

    1. It's not a bacterial infection. It's a virus. Those can last 7 to 10 days.

    2. The antibiotic is not working.

    The antibiotic could be causing the nausea and weird taste and headache. Those could also be apart of the flu. If you are worried, call your doctors office and see what the nurse says. Don't worry about eating, just keep drinking. Warm and ice cold stuff will help you throat. Take some Tylenol (easier on the stomach). Get plenty of rest. Do you have body aches or are very fatigued?
