How old do you have to be in connecticut to stay home alone for a week or 2?

    my parents are going to be out of the country for family business

  • I do not think there are laws governing how you can be to stay alone, however there are child endangerment laws with dire consequences for your parents.

    Depends how long~ best thing have an adult you are to call everyday and give an update and can check that the parties don't get out of control!

  • You are old enough to stay home alone for a week or 2, as long as you are a good kid and your parents trust you. It's not really a legal issue, it's up to your parents discretion. If they don't feel you are mature enough to be home alone for a week or two, you can't stay home alone.

  • 18.and preferably have your own job (employed) and graduated from high school.
    If you are living in someones house and eating their food and using their facilities,(your parents' house or grandparents) , then technically you live under their rules and whatever they say goes.
