How Long Will It Take To Cook This Cut Of Beef?

  • It says, "choice certified Angus beef boneless top round London broil". It is well marbled. There are no cooking instructions. What is the best way to cook this? At what temperature and for how long? Thanks.


  • You can either broil it or grill it (as the name implied). For a 1 1/2 inch cut, I would estimate about 6-8 minutes per side.

    or

    you can braise it.

    Sear it in fat to be brown all over.

    Add chopped garlic/onions/carrots for the last few minutes of your sear.

    Add liquid (stock, wine, water) up to about 1/3 of the way up (do not cover). Cook for about 1 1/2 hours under low heat covered. Optionally a some chopped tomato or tomato sauce as part of your liquid.
