  • I cant prove it was a lie but my boss cant prove it was true either but i have been asked to attend a disaplinery anyway and I dont know what to expect

  • Short answer yes.

So, if you have been a troubled employee anyway (attitude, willingness to do extra, missed work, etc), they can use it as a quick way to get rid of you.

If you are a good employee, they will probably just write you up. You have the right to state your side, in writing, and if they ask you to sign something (verifying the disciplinary action) you can write in the signature space. My signature in no way construes admission of guilt for the mentioned action, I am signing to agree that I will do what is needed to keep my job. then sign it.

Many pre-printed forms have a space where you sign that indicates you agree to the punishment but disagree about the reason.

    Good luck.

  • I think that they would need proof of the offense prior to firing you.

  • You can always prove a lie look harder.

  • No, they can't fire you for that reason if they can't prove it. However, they may believe the lie enough to put you up on their radar which means they are going to be watching you very closely. Keep your nose clean and if there is any way to prove it isn't true do so.

  • Take the class since they are making you anyway. If they look at you differently now, just make sure you do right and dont mess up. Go to work on time, do your work and dont get in trouble. You wil be fine.
