For my science project, I am blindfolding someone and making a sound or two in different locations. I am trying to see if they can approximately determine the location of the sound with only using their hearing. You will need more than one or two, because our ability to localize differs between the horizontal and vertical planes, and also depends upon frequency - high pitch is easier to localize.
A clicker is probably the easiest sound to use.
Have the subject point to the apparent source and plot those responses. Be sure the blindfold doesn't cover the ears.
